Welcome to International Tennis Coaching! The principal, Stephen Wright, is a Director of International Tennis Coaching Ltd. and his experience, which spans two decades, incorporates an International grounding in Spain, Australia and New Zealand. Achieving a tennis scholarship in the world renowned Stirling University's International Tennis Scholarship Programme, he successfully completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business whilst continuing to enhance his tennis methodology and skills through his attendance at International tennis programmes throughout the U.K., Europe and the U.S.A.
Early experience of tennis began at the age of four, in Spain where he lived for four years. Starting young has given him the opportunity to develop all the skills necessary to play to the best of his potential, and he would therefore encourage youngsters of a similar age to partake in fun based group coaching.
At the age of 15 he moved to the Gold Coast in Australia where he was ranked No.10 in the 18/U boys singles in Queensland. At the age of 19 he moved back to his homeland, Scotland, where he was part of Stirling University's International Tennis Scholarship Programme. Whilst at University, he was selected to tour Arkansas and Texas in the USA, playing tournaments against some of their top tennis Universities.
Tennis has taken him to many parts of the world, helped him to maintain a high standard of fitness, and provided him with the opportunity to meet many interesting people. However, most importantly, it has enabled him to take part in an exhilerating, competative and enjoyable sport, and his aim is to build a strong core of players and enthusiasts who will enjoy tennis all of their lives.
